That big changed was mainly because most of the African countries werent independent and needed help or control by other colonies. During that 20 year period many leaders helped establish independent african countries, those leader are Kwame Nkrumah, joseph Mobutu and others. Those guys really helped make a new Africa. In the year 1975 there was still a few countries dependent on others, but most of them were now independent.

9th grade review, Neolithic Revolution

The Neolithic Revolution was the change of humans from being nomadics to being settled and agriculturals. Back then Nomadics were people who didnt stay in one place, they would migrate to different locations in search of food. Later on the people started thinking more of production and settlement. The people started being more agricultural, producing their own goods for food, and such. Thats when the people instead of killing the animals to eat, started breeding them and taking care of them so they can have food right there near them. This change was very important to us. Because we still do agriculture and this systems comes from a long time ago. If it wasnt for them doing this drastic change we would probably be still moving around for food or maybe even extincted the human race with todays population.

Cuban Missile Crisis

Well the Cuban Missile Crisis was basically the plan of Missiles in Cuba. It was considered "the hottest moment in the Cold War" because it was the closest the world ever came on entering a Nuclear War that would make a big mess in the world. President FJK heard about the Missiles instalations in Cuban and send Ships to prevent more of incoming. He also tried to come in agreement with Cuba, Turkey and Soviet Union to try and stop the Nuclear war from starting. Everybody was ready and armed for it. JFK also said that any missile launched from Cuba would be considered as an attack from the Soviet Union itself since its missiles were from there, and demanded that the Soviet Union removed its weapons from Cuba. United states had weapons to bomb the Soviet Union in one attack. They later on accepted the agreement but also wanted a guarantee that USA wouldnt invade Cuba. They also wanted USA missiles removed from Turkey in exchange. Tensions began to ease on the 28th of oct when Khrushchev said he would disarm its missiles in Cuba and return it to the Soviet Union in trust that USA wasnt going to invade Cuba.

Nato and The Warsaw Pact

Nato was the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Way too many innocent people were killed and injured, also the babies born after the bombing had birth defects because of the raditation. To me that was unecessary but in a way it solved something. It ended WW2 which was also a big issue going on the ENTIRE world. So i guess it wasnt a total waste of humanity on the bombing. Yes I do think that the bombing should have been the news of the century because it was radical, there was a lot of people dead and it ended a bigger thing going on around. On top of that it was ended with a mass destruction weapon which had never been used before. So i do think it should have been news of the century. I wouldnt make any changes because i think they did a good job in keeping the top 100 news up there.

Film Lesson: "Night and Fog"

Okay, This one was very exposed to us, they didnt really hide any of the stuff from the viewers. Most of the movies made about the Holocaust showed that a massacre happened but didnt really show the process or the dumping of mass bodies which was really sad. The movie was very strong and made me angry at the germans that did that, but it didnt make me go all depressive and stuff. The dumping of skulls was kind of harsh too, many many people died in vain there and that should be remembered forever so it never happens again. The documentary showed way more stuff than the hollywood movie, it showed us real dead bodies being dragged and dumped into that mass grave, which showed us how bad and how they didnt cared about the jews.

Film Lesson:"Schindler 's List"

Well the movie Schindler's List was pretty cool because it showed us a little bit about the cruel stuff the germans did to the jews, but they didnt really take us through the rough part. I think a powerful scene was when the kids were being taken away from their mom or dad, and some of them were hiding under the toilet. That is also the scene I think that will stay with me for a long time, maybe not forever but for a long time. What was also cruel was the afterwards of the doctor check up, if they found people weak in health they would send them to camps of only people that were weak and eventually be killed, usually from the fake shower that filled the room of poisonous gas. My opinion those things should have never happened and I hope people learned from it.

Germany at War - WW II

Propaganda - Noun. Because since Germany basically started the war and eventually lost, they were blamed for all the bad things that happened during the WWI. Germany lost lots of territory and had to pay a lot of money for most of the demage that the war caused. Germany wasn't very stable after the war since they lost AND were blamed for it AND had to repair most of the bad things that happened which drained Germany even more. Along came Adolf Hitler. Hitler was just a normal soldier...but a very smart and cruel guy, he saw that Germany and the world was in a very bad state (Great Depression) and introduced himself to the weakminded germans that desperately wanted a leader. Hitler announced to the people that the Treaty was unfair to the germans and said that he would changed that for the better of Germany. Since the people was depressed and desparate for a strong leader, Hitler seemed like the right guy to take that position. He changed it to a hat more like a western hat, and he clearly stated that it was called a hat and nothing else. He was a president for 15 years. Doctor Zhivago illustrated the Russian Revolution as a brutal revolutrion, many people were being injured.... and Dr.Zhivago was helping them, since he was a doctor during the war. People in Russia wanted a strong system. The system was communism, Russian becoming communism was chaos to me. As it was shown in the movie, Dr.Zhivago went to Moscow, and when he came back to his big house, he saw all these kinds of new ppl he didnt even know, and they treated him as if he wasnt the owner of the house.... Communism makes everybody's property equal. so really over 30 people were living in Dr.Zhivago's house.

Karl Marx and Communism

Karl Marx wanted communism in the whole world. He wanted the whole world to share wealth. He saw the factories owners as "bad guys" because they kept the money with no sweat. the "good guys" were the workers, who worked and had no arguement of how they were getting paid. He wanted the workers to control factories and lands, not the landlords. He was trying to get a world wide revolution, but it didnt really happen. Only a few country followed his idea and soon went in debt. Some countries like Cuba and North Korea are still on that system.

Karl Marx and the Industrial Revolution

Karl Marx didnt really like the Industrial Revolion, in fact he didnt like it at all. He saw the Industrial Revolution just an extended Feudalism, where peasants worked on the land and had very few money and the Nobles were keeping all the money they made. In the Industrial Revolution it was the same thing, the workers were the peasants and the factories owners were the nobles. To me the Industrial Revolution was worse than the feudalism in that matter, because work at the factories were dangerous with the machines around them if they werent careful. Karls Marx said that the workers just kept getting poorer and the rich....richer. So he came up with the Communism where everyone got paid the same and they all had to work. That gave the idea of everyone being "equal" but not many people listened to his idea, and the countries that did were soon on debt, because since people were getting paid the same amount of money every month then they didnt have a reason to work harder and make more money. Everything got more sloppy and not well made, leading the country in debt since no one wanted to buy or trade goods.

Film Lesson: "Modern Times"

Sorry Mr.Moloney didnt get a chance to watch this movie so I cant do this blog. Unfortunately kids were offered jobs as well. Children would work on factories for over 12 hours a day and have only a 40 mins break for lunch and rest. Labor at the factories wasnt easy for these kids. They were around dangerous machines and were vulnerable for any injury. The king of England eventually made a law that didnt let children under the age of 18 work more than 12 hours a day or 69 hours a week. Inspectors would check the factories to see if they were following that rule.

Industrial Revolution

During the Industrial Revolution many new ideas came up to help the people live an easier life. It was called a Revolution because it wasnt just one new idea, it was many of them one after the other. One of the new idea was on farming. Farmers could only grow crops every two other year, because the soil wouldn't be as fertile. But then Vicount Charles found out that you dont have to wait for the soil to be fertile again, you could just plant tunips, cover and etc to restore the land. The Industrial Revolution had many new ideas coming up.

test

test
